Satchel Ford Information

We Need Artfest Volunteers!
This year's Artfest will be on Friday, November 7. We will have activities all day, but largely in the morning hours. We need as many helping hands as possible. You do not need to be artistic to help, just a willing and cheerful helper. Please let me know by e-mailing as to when you might be available. We would love for you to join us all day or just a portion. Thanks in advance, as we cannot have these special days without the collaborative effort of many.

Our Mission:
We are Richland One, a leader in transforming lives through education, empowering all students to achieve their potential and dreams.

From the Principal

Welcome back to another great year at Satchel Ford Elementary School!  Iím so excited to be joining such a distinguished institution of learning and genuinely appreciate the warm welcome Iíve received from the Forest Acres community. It is both my pleasure and honor to have become the principal of such a fine school where students excel in both academics and the cultural arts.

As principal, it is my responsibility to ensure that your child receives a world-class education in a safe, orderly environment.  To that end, many of the successful traditions at Satchel Ford will continue; but please know that innovation is my vision!  I foresee much development and evolution at Satchel Ford in the areas of mathematics instruction, scientific inquiry, and the effective integration of instructional technology in support of student learning.  I look forward to overseeing and supporting positive change in our school, while honoring and preserving the rich traditions of Satchel Fordís tremendous history of success in our community.

If you ever have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please donít hesitate to call me, send me an email, or simply drop by and speak with me for a few moments.  It takes all of us working together to build successful young adults!  Remember, Ömy door is always open.

Mr. H
